Introduction
The increasing congestion in urban areas, promotes the diffusion of light traffic vehicles in the market with vehicles increasingly small and narrow. The tilt control system allows to build very narrow vehicles, curving safely at high speed, until now, one of the main handicaps. This kind of vehicles let curving tilting the vehicle, transferring the weight to the inside of the curve as a motorcycle. So was born the VEAP, a three-wheeled delta vehicle with one wheel in front and two rear.

Inclination
The maximum inclination of the VEAP is 45 degrees. Not bad if you think that the inclination of a racing bike is about 50 degrees. In a normal tricycle with hard axis and because being narrow, you can not cornering at high speed, rolling over it quickly when approaching a curve tighter. The two-wheeled vehicles are in this respect, an advantage for vehicles with three or four wheels. These, projects out of the curve the weight vehicle's, unable to counter the inertia generated by movement. But the VEAP has the best of both worlds. Despite being a tricycle, conducts to as two-wheeler, overcoming this one in terms of safety. The adoption of a third wheel ensures greater grip and braking ability.

Verticality
When stopped, the VEAP will not tip over, just stop and get out! No need to stabilizers and stops in completely vertical position.
In traffic, you do not need to support the feet to balance the vehicle. When moving slowly the VEAP locks automatically the tilt system and will not tip over more. However, you can at any time release the lock if you wish, to for example, tilt the vehicle to mount.
Next to a red light and with the tilt system locked, you can continue pedaling while waiting. The energy produced is stored in batteries slightly increasing the vehicle's range. Very stable thanks to the positioning of batteries that provides a low center of gravity. You can even work on it!
Verticality on uneven terrain
The VEAP has an enormous capacity to absorb the irregularities of the ground without affecting the verticality of the vehicle. For example: drive in the side of a steep hil. For a standard tricycle, it would be difficult or even impossible without a tilt control system. In addition to the discomfort of the user having to drive too tilted, the vehicle would tend to roll over from certain degrees of inclination. The VEAP with tilt control system, can overcome very steep terrain without affecting the verticality. If the rear wheels, encounter different obstacles between them, of different heights, it will not affect the vehicle performance, only causes a small oscillation in the longitudinal direction. This difference can be up to 593mm. From there, then yes, the vehicle begins to tilt.
Motors
How does it work?
The VEAP is equipped with three wheel-motors. To activate the motors you have to pedal. The pedals are basically an accelerator/decelerator that provides effort (mechanical torque) to the generator, which in turn makes it a flow (current) that is transmitted to the motors that finally convert the current into effort (mechanical torque) at the wheels. The electronics stimulate the motors according to the measured cadence and effort of the pedaling. If you want to go faster you pedal faster, and if you want to slow down you pedal backward and charge batteries. The regenerative electric braking, locks the vehicle via electromagnetic field (without friction), resulting in greater durability to conventional brakes reducing tire wear, brake pads and discs. While pedaling, you store at the same time the energy of this effort slightly increasing the vehicle's range.

Narrow Vehicle
The VEAP is a very narrow vehicle, with only 70 cm wide. Does not exceed the width of the handlebars.
While pedaling you generate energy that is stored in batteries.
Calories become distance covered!

Fitness
In VEAP your effort is not wasted! While pedaling, in the stop position, you get your daily dose of exercise as you do at the gym generating energy that is stored in batteries. Your own energy can be used later in travels. In this way you can also recharge your gadgets while you exercise. Calories become distance traveled! The VEAP includes the main functionalities of this type of device: Time, RPM, Speed, Distance, Calories and Pulse. The VEAP is therefore a true green vehicle!

Conclusion
The VEAP was born, not with the aim of replacing any of the existing concepts but as a new light vehicle that is situated between the bike and the motorcycle. The aim was to take advantage of load capacity of conventional tricycles improving the performances of these and making it more suited to daily commuting.
The performances are Intended to be equivalent to a city scooter with speeds of around 80 km / h.
Status
The studies are still preliminary and in the subsequent stages of the project will still need to set:
-The final weight - through 3D drawing and calculation of resistance of materials.
-Engine size and voltage.
-Using electronics.
-Tilting Control System in 3D calibrate.
Then we will know something about vehicle's range!
